The Way We Make A Difference in Milwaukee WI

Thanks to the incredible generosity of Clay's fans, 13 people from Special Olympics Wisconsin, including Milwaukee Special Olympic's Athlete of the Year, were able to see Clay perform at the US Cellular Arena in Milwaukee, WI on August 27, 2004.

Special Olympics Mission:
To provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with cognitive disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in the sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.

We received the following letter from Bonnie... for Rebecca and Steven...

Thank you very much for the tickets to last Friday's Clay Aiken concert here in Milwaukee. The kids (should say young adults) had a fabulous time. It was very kind of you to donate them. It was also an experience for them as we let them work through the process of getting themselves inside the auditorium and getting themselves oriented for pick up afterwards. All of that plus the concert made for an excellent Friday night.

From Special Olympics Wisconsin....

Thanks again for the tickets to see Clay Aiken in concert. He was absolutely wonderful. I was really impressed by the wide range of ages that he attracts. It's apparent that one doesn't need the elaborate stage set ups and huge light shows to reach out to many. His show was based on his talent and love to entertain, which gets lost sometimes.

I had the pleasure to sit with a couple of our athletes and they were truly enjoying him, singing along, full of smiles. That was the best part.

Again, thanks for the opportunity.

It's important that I make a difference in some way. It's not necessarily how I make a difference, but I want to make sure that I do. -- Clay Aiken
